The Seeds of Hope Team

Geraldine Ledezma Garcia is known for having a heart of gold. Even before her college career, a time when many students become more civically involved, Geraldine was already an active volunteer and community leader. As a street leader for Urban Promise, she gained experience mentoring younger students. It was then she discovered the reward of helping others. Now a recruiting specialist in the admissions office at Central Piedmont Community College, Geraldine mentors high school students and adults while assisting them with finishing their education. As it relates to her new role, she states,

"With my knowledge in navigating higher education with different immigration statuses and my ability to speak another language, I have been able to help the community that I come from. I have even had the opportunity to work with some students that I taught at Urban Promise. I know that the work that I do is important, and I am proud to be a part of the Seeds of Hope community."
