by
Marilynn Chadwick

Elder Lillie Ellis, a native of South Carolina, has dedicated her life to faith, education, andministry. The daughter of the late Thomas and Beulah Ellis, she is the seventh of nine children. A retired educator, she faithfully served as a teacher in Charlotte-Mecklenburg and Rock Hill School District 3, shaping the lives of countless students.

She is the proud mother of Jasmine Mogbolu, a Seeds of Hope board member and previous scholar, and her son-in-love, Jonathan Mogbolu. Her spiritual journey began on October 25,1981, when she accepted Jesus Christ, and in August 1984, she was filled with the Holy Spirit. Under the mentorship of the late Apostle Barbara Brewton-Cameron, Elder Ellis served as Minister of Music for 20 years before being licensed and ordained in 2003. She has served in leadership roles at Redemption Outreach Center and One Church Ministries.

In September 2011, she founded Levites’ Praise Ministries, a nonprofit dedicated to worship, prayer, and evangelism. The ministry expanded to media in October 2011 with Worship at the Throne, a television broadcast that later grew into a radio ministry in 2019 and social media outreach in 2021. In 2018, she partnered with fellow ministers to launch Next Level Ministries, an intercessory prayer movement that hosts impactful conferences.

Beyond media and prayer, Elder Ellis continues to evangelize through speaking engagements, musical conferences, and prayer gatherings. Her life’s mission is to glorify God, destroy the works of the enemy, and empower believers through worship and the Word. A lifelong learner and student of scripture, she remains steadfast in her calling to serve. Thank you Minister Ellis for all that you do for our students!
