Summer Intern Shares Love of Giving Back 💛

Jermarcus Johnson is a Tennessee native and proud graduate of the University of Tennessee! Having recently earned a bachelor's degree in marketing with a minor in entrepreneurship, Jermarcus will return to the University of Tennessee to begin their masters program in marketing.

Seeds of Hope had the honor of working with Jermarcus when he joined our team as a summer 2025 intern, and we are thrilled to support this budding entrepreneur as he works to achieve his dream of making an impact. He shares:

" I’ve also had previous experience with nonprofits, which I really enjoy because the main goal is to give back. I love that part—being able to use my skills to help make someone else’s life better. Whether it’s brainstorming ways to get more volunteers involved, reaching out to donors or sponsors, creating content, or just talking through ideas to strengthen a program, I’m always ready to contribute."

Jermarcus has previously interned with marketing agencies including redpepper and BoldSquare in addition to Enterprise Mobility and Aramark. He is currently working with the Seeds of Hope team where he successfully applies his sharp marketing skills everywhere from digital efforts and event planning to sponsor outreach and scholar engagement. Jermarcus states he has always been drawn to business and problem-solving, and over the years, has worked on a variety of marketing projects that have helped him grow in areas like strategy, content creation, outreach, and event planning. He shares that he enjoys creating ideas and building connections that make an impact.

We are excited to be a part of Jermarcus's journey to greatness! A brilliant scholar and big brother, he shares,

"I’m the oldest of three, and with two younger sisters, family and faith have always been important to me. I try to lead by example and show that with consistency and determination, anything is possible."
